Spring Break Camps And No-School Fun Days March-April

Camps available for ages 5-14. Advance registration is required for each one.

 SPRING BREAK CAMPS

 Monday-Friday, April 6–10, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at most locations.

  • Cimarron Rose Community Center, 5591 N. Cimarron Road; 702-229-1607; $125/week; ages 5-11.
  • East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave., 702-229-1515; $75/week; ages 5-11.
  • Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargove Ave., 702-229-6359; $125/week, ages 6-11.
  • Municipal Swimming Pool, 431 E. Bonanza Road, 702-229-6309. Hours 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; $150/week; ages 6-11.
  • Veterans Memorial Community Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive, 702-229-1100; $150/week; ages 5.5-11.

Youth enjoy games, crafts, sports, and park playtime. Call the center you would like to attend for more information. Register online.

Spring Break Theater Camp (ages 10-14)
Monday-Saturday; April 6–10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; April 11, 9 a.m. to noon.
Cost: $135/week.
Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., 702-229-ARTS (2787).
The six-day camp gives students the opportunity to go from "page to stage" in just one week! Students will spend Monday through Friday learning stage technique, character work and rehearsing in preparation for a presentation on Saturday. Register online.

Visual Arts Spring Break Camp (ages 7-14)
Monday-Friday, April 6–10, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $75/week.
Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., 702-229-ARTS (2787).
Led by Visual Arts Instructor Audrey Fox, students will create artwork daily they can take home. Art lessons will teach elements and principles of design along with an integration of key concepts including fine arts relevancy and historical/cultural significance. Students will explore and create artwork that may include dioramas, cartooning, texture paintings and more. Fox is a professional visual artist and instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching painting, sculpture, and design to youth. She exhibits new artwork regularly, participating in gallery shows and contributing to the art scene in the Las Vegas Valley. Fox also possesses years of experience teaching advanced skills to adults. Register online.                                                                  

 NO-SCHOOL FUN DAYS

 No-School Fun Day Camp (ages 5-11)
Monday, March 9, or Monday, April 13, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave., 702-229-1515; $20; or

Veterans Memorial Community Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive, 702-229-1100; $35.

Youth enjoy a day away from school exploring the world. Advance registration required.

 Safekey No-School Fun Day (grades K-5)

Monday, March 9, or Monday, April 13, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cost: $25 per child; a specific No-School Fun Day registration is required.

Joseph Neal Elementary School, 6651 W. Azure Ave. or
J.T. McWilliams Elementary School, 1315 Hiawatha Road 

Youth enjoy an exciting day away from school with games, contests, craft projects, sports and more, all in a safe, enriching environment. Participants are to bring a sack lunch; an afternoon snack will be provided. Limited spots are available. Call 702-229-KIDS (5437) for more information.

The city of Las Vegas summer camp registration will begin online on April 14.
