NYE 2023 Road Closures🚧

Road closures will begin as early as 4 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and continue until 4 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Plan your route accordingly.

⚠️ON NEW YEARS EVE FOR SAFETY REASONS: Glass and metal containers, coolers, strollers, and any bags larger than 12x12x6 inches ARE PROHIBITED on the Strip and Downtown, per county and city ordinances. This includes backpacks, purses, and luggage. 

⚠️There will be a curfew in place prohibiting minors under 18 without a parent on the Strip and Downtown.

Las Vegas Strip

*Note: Spring Mountain Road AND Tropicana will remain open for east/west traffic at Las Vegas Blvd.*

Here is an approximate timeline: Times are subject to change without notice.

🚧 5:00 pm: Eastbound Flamingo from Hotel Rio Dr. to shut down by State Police/NDOT

State Police/NDOT will close freeway off-ramps at Flamingo and remain so through the duration of the evening.

🚧 6:30 pm: Las Vegas Blvd. from Tropicana to Spring Mountain closure begins.

Roads and driveways to properties will begin to shut down.

🚧 By 8:00 pm: All vehicle traffic is shut down on Las Vegas Blvd. from Spring Mountain to Tropicana.

🎉 Jan 1, 2023 at 6:00 am: All roads reopen

Downtown Las Vegas 

Major closures: Fourth Street and Casino Center Boulevard between Carson and Ogden avenues.
Major closures: Fremont Street between Las Vegas Boulevard and Sixth Street.
