Worth the drive from VEGAS: THE FLOWER FIELDS AT CARLSBAD RANCH

A worthwhile drive from Vegas to a 50-acre of beautiful flowers overlooking a coastline

By Donnah Opelac, Editor & Publisher May 15, 2018

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is almost a five-hour drive from Las Vegas. We keep on chiming, "are we there yet?" But it is so worth the drive. When the flower fields are opened, it signals the spring season. A beautiful respite from the cold winter season in Vegas.

The beautiful flowers - called ranunculus, are in bloom for approximately six to eight weeks each year – from early March through early May in a rainbow of colors.

The beauty of the ranunculus is surreal

The nearly fifty acres of the flower fields are set on a hillside overlooking the striking Carlsbad, California coastline.

The attraction is awesomely beautiful. More than the flowers, there are ways to explore the flower fields. More information can be found on their website.

They have an Antique Tractor Wagon Tour to enjoy an open-air wagon tour through the flower fields via an antique tractor. The tour includes an audio commentary of the history of the flower fields.

The plentiful activities are centered on making family memories. Memories that will last a lifetime.

Lose or find your way out from their fragrant and colorful "old-fashioned" sweet pea blossom maze.

My family was hosted to visit the Flower Fields. Just like the beautiful flowers, we created beautiful memories. Memories to be cherished forever.
