The Christmas holiday could be different because of the guidelines and protocols for our safety

Social distancing and facemasks will be required at all events. 

Saturdays-Sundays, Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20; 1 to 5 p.m.
Ward 6 Christmas Fantasy Forest at Floyd Lamb Park
Free and open to the public.
Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road
Open-air fun for the entire family!  Enjoy the decorated trees and photos/visit with Santa at the Ranch House. Face masks and social distancing will be required.

Saturday, Dec. 12, 10 a.m.
Ward 2 Christmas Holiday Drive-Thru Celebration
Free and open to the public.
Bruce Trent Park, 8851 Vegas Drive
Bring the family to enjoy a holiday drive-thru experience with treats and a handmade holiday ornament, while supplies last.

Monday, Dec. 14, 8 to 11 a.m.
Ward 3 Food Pop-Up Drive-Thru
Free and open to the public while supplies last.
Desert Pines High School, 3800 E Harris Ave.
This is a drive-thru event and drivers will need to pop open trunks. Food boxes will include frozen chicken; fresh fruits and vegetables (onions, potatoes, cabbage, apples, oranges); rice, beans, pasta, and oatmeal. Limited to the first 500 Ward 3 families to arrive.

Saturday, Dec. 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Secret Santa Drive-Thru (ages 1-11)
Free and open to the public.
Masonic Memorial Temple, 2200 W. Mesquite Ave.
Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman, Ward 1 Councilman Brian Knudsen, and Ward 5 Councilmen Cedric Crear, along with many community partners, are sponsoring this year’s Secret Santa Project. Children ages 1-11 present at the event will receive a free toy. This will be a drive-thru, no-contact, toy giveaway targeted at underprivileged children. Volunteers will wear masks, gloves, and staff T-shirts. Go to volunteer.SecretSantaNevada.com and donate.SecretSantaNevada.com to learn how you can participate. Winter Break Kids Camp (grades K-8)
Monday-Thursday, Dec. 21-31, starting at 7 a.m. daily.
Camp ends at 6 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursdays, Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.  
Camp activities will include arts and crafts, sports, games, music, life skills, physical fitness, and fun, all with trained adult supervision. Available locations and related fees include:

  • East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave., $60 / 4 days;
  • Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave., $100 / 4 days; and
  • Veterans Memorial Community Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive, $100 / 4 days.

Children can be registered for one or both weeks until camps are full. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Registration is open until full. Thursday, Dec. 24, 9 a.m. to noon.
Ward 3 Navidad en el Barrio
Free and open to the public.
Gary Reese Freedom Park, 850 N. Mojave Road
Bring the family to enjoy a fun holiday drive-thru experience. See Santa Claus and enjoy holiday decorations on display. Giveaways and toy distribution for children present ages 2-16 while supplies last. No registration is required. Sponsored by the city of Las Vegas and the Mexican Patriotic Committee of Las Vegas.
