Note from your Publisher: Celebrate a VEGAS SMART Thanksgiving Weekend

New restrictions to celebrate a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday!

Additional restrictions were announced to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Nevada. The mitigation measures will last for the next three weeks from November 24th.

  • restaurants, bars, gaming operations, gyms, fitness facilities and other businesses and activities will be limited to 25 percent of applicable fire code capacity, down from 50 percent; 
  • public gatherings will be limited to no more than 50 people or 25 percent capacity;
  • private gatherings will be limited to no more than 10 people from no more than two separate households, and the State’s face covering requirement will be extended to private gatherings;
  • wear face coverings at all times, whether indoors or outdoors, when around individuals from outside their households.

What to Do in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving Weekend

1. Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden
Journey on the seasonal autumn display before it closes. The garden will re-open for the winter display. Admission to the Bellagio Conservatory is free. Inside the Bellagio Hotel at the Las Vegas Strip.

2. The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas welcomes the return of The Ice Rink as Boulevard Pool transforms into a winter destination high above the Las Vegas strip. Ice Skate with a view of the strip.

All visitors to The Ice Rink are required to wear a mask at all times unless eating or drinking while seated. Social distancing and reduced capacity will be strictly enforced—maximum skating rink occupancy is 60 guests at a time. Learn more about how we’re committing to your health & safety.

3. Holiday Cactus Garden Lights at Ethel M Chocolates
The three-acre garden is illuminated nightly with more than a million Christmas lights.
In addition to the Cactus Garden, kids of all ages will love their time here!

At this time, the Cactus Garden is completely booked. If you weren't able to get a reservation, we are so sorry but have to limit garden capacity due to the pandemic. You are welcome to stop by as a walk in and, if there's capacity available due to 'no shows', we will happily let you in.

4. Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Las Vegas only drive-thru light show that displays millions of glittering lights that illuminate the track of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Glittering Lights show opens every night at dusk.
