3. Free transportation

RTC
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is offering free rides to active military service members and veterans on Wednesday, November 11.

Outside of the holiday, service members can participate in our Veterans Reduced Fare Program, which provides a 50 percent discount on full-fare pricing for all of our fixed-route buses. Local veterans can apply for an RTC-issued veterans’ reduced fare ID card at the Bonneville Transit Center, 101 E. Bonneville Ave., in downtown Las Vegas.

4. Tire Works Total Car Care
To honor the nation’s military veterans, Tire Works Total Car Care stores will be having Veterans Days specials throughout the month of November. All active-duty military and veterans will receive a free lube, filter, and oil change at all of its 15 Las Vegas-area locations.

5. Free meals and discounts at local, big chain restaurants and casino buffets. Check your favorite restaurants for details.

The entire community is invited to join in honoring our servicemen and women who have served the nation in the armed forces.
