WINTER BREAK CAMPS

Winter Break Camp (ages 6-11)
Four days/week, Dec. 23-27 and Dec. 30-Jan. 3; no camp Dec. 25 or Jan. 1.
Hours 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day (except only until 3 p.m. Dec. 24 and Dec. 31).
Priced per week: $95/4 days at Cimarron Rose and Mirabelli; $55/4 days at Doolittle.

Registration is open now until full.  Advance registration is required. Call the center for details and registration.

SPORTS AND CLASS REGISTRATION

Winter Class Registration
Winter Registration available Nov. 19 to Jan. 18, 2020, for a six-week session Jan. 7-Feb. 15, 2020.
The city of Las Vegas offers fine arts classes at several locations that are designed to mold the next generation of artists in a guided, dynamic and studio-style program tailored to the needs of each student. These open-enrollment classes encourage exploration while creating the opportunity for each student to experience diverse performing and visual arts education. Classes are available for all ages and levels of experience in dance, music, theatre, visual and cultural arts. To register, or for more information, visit online or call 702-229-ARTS (2787).

  • Charleston Heights Arts Center Class Registration (ages 6-adult) Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Courses offered include Adult Drama and Improvisation, Visual Arts, Hip-Hop, Modern Dance, Group Guitar, and private lessons in visual art, piano, voice, guitar by appointment.
  • Rainbow Company Youth Theatre Drama Class Registration (ages 4-17) Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., and Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St. Classes taught by award-winning Rainbow Company staff. Courses offered include Story Drama, Performance Fundamentals, Acting Skills for Youth, and Acting for Teens. Classes are in demand and space is limited; early registration recommended.
  • West Las Vegas Arts Center Class Registration (ages 2-adult) West Las VegasArts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Classes offered include African Dance, Ballet, Hip-Hop, African Drum, Audio Recording and Engineering, Video Production, Martial Arts and Chess. 

Winter Basketball Recreation League (ages 5-12)
Registration is open Dec. 16-Jan. 6 for league play Feb. 1-March 14, 2020.
Cost: $85 per youth, includes a jersey.
Teams receive two weeks of practice prior to the season and one practice per week during the season (based upon availability). Teams are guaranteed seven games during the season. There will be no playoffs. Volunteer coaches needed! Coaches will receive NAYS training prior to coaching. All scheduled games will be played at the various city of Las Vegas community centers. Most games will be played on Saturdays. However, if necessary, games may be scheduled for weekday evenings.

Registration is open Dec. 16-Jan. 6 for league play Feb. 1-March 14, 2020.

However, if necessary, games may be scheduled for weekday evenings.

CORPORATE CHALLENGE REGISTRATION
The city of Las Vegas invites local companies and organizations to sign up to compete in the 2020 Corporate Challenge by Feb. 10.
For 35 years, the Corporate Challenge has been a healthy way for local companies and their employees to stay active in the community. As the largest amateur athletic competition in the State of Nevada, Corporate Challenge provides employees the opportunity for unity, teamwork, and camaraderie in a fun competition that promotes company pride, corporate wellness, and community socialization. Some of Southern Nevada’s most successful companies are annual participants.
