Summer has officially come to an end. But having fun doesn't end. Most especially at the entertainment capital of the world. Two of the largest music festivals are happening on this last weekend of summer. Life is Beautiful and I Heart Radio Music Festival.

Life is Beautiful Festival 
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL encompasses 18 city blocks in Downtown Las Vegas, extending from 7th to 11th Streets and from Mesquite to Carson Avenues. The festival entrances are located at Fremont & 7th street and Fremont & 11th Street.

John E. Carson Parking Lot
Sept. 13 to 24

Backstage Bar & Billiards Parking Lot

El Cortez Paid Parking Lot

BUS ROUTES:

Bus routes for the area will have detours during the week leading up to the festival and the days of the festival itself. Please be sure to check the RTC website for more information. Please note the following routes will change:

●        SDX


Road Closures Sept. 20 at 12:01 a.m. to Sept. 23 at 11:59 p.m.
Carson Avenue from 6th Street to 7th Street
7th Street from Bridger Avenue to Carson Avenue
6th Street from Bridger Avenue to Ogden Avenue
Fremont Street from Las Vegas Boulevard to 6th Street (pedestrian access only; no thru traffic)

*All road closures are subject to change.


COMMUNITY SHUTTLE:

The Life is Beautiful Community Shuttle will run continuously from Wednesday, Sept. 18, to Monday, Sept. 23.

STOPS
Stops will be identified with signage in area community members can wait.

8th Street & Mesquite Avenue
9th Street & Stewart Avenue
11th Street & Carson Avenue
8th Street & Bridger Avenue
6th Street in front of El Cortez Hotel & Casino
Las Vegas Boulevard & Mesquite Avenue

HOURS
Please note that the shuttle does not run between the hours of 2 and 7 a.m.
Saturday, Sept. 21: 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. (next day)
Sunday, Sept. 22: 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. (next day)
Monday, Sept. 23: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Don't forget to check our event calendar to find your family fun every day. Highlighted events on this weekend and the following week:

September 28 is National Public Lands Day. It is a Free Entrance Day for most National Parks, Monuments, Recreation Areas and other participating federal sites. Nevada residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Nevada Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 28 with a “fee-free” day at Nevada’s State Parks. Park fees, including entrance, camping (Saturday night) and boating, where applicable, will be waived at state parks throughout Nevada. School Programs, Sports for Kids and Adults

Safety and Ignite Registration for 2019-2020 School Year
Registration open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
Cost: $20 registration fee per child, per account; plus $7 per morning session and/or $10 per afternoon session.
Safekey Office, 416 N. Seventh St.
