Summer has officially come to an end. But having fun doesn't end. Most especially at the entertainment capital of the world. Two of the largest music festivals are happening on this last weekend of summer. Life is Beautiful and I Heart Radio Music Festival.
Life is Beautiful Festival LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL encompasses 18 city blocks in Downtown Las Vegas, extending from 7th to 11th Streets and from Mesquite to Carson Avenues. The festival entrances are located at Fremont & 7th street and Fremont & 11th Street.The Zappos Parking Lot The Llama Lot John E. Carson Parking Lot Backstage Bar & Billiards Parking Lot The Downtowner Parking Lot El Cortez Cabana Suites Parking Lot El Cortez Paid Parking Lot Place on 7th Parking Lot Post Office Parking Lot BUS ROUTES: Bus routes for the area will have detours during the week leading up to the festival and the days of the festival itself. Please be sure to check the RTC website for more information. Please note the following routes will change: ● Route 113 ● Route 207 ● Route 215 ● Deuce ● BHX ● HDX ● SDX | Carson Avenue from 6th Street to 7th Street 7th Street from Bridger Avenue to Carson Avenue 6th Street from Bridger Avenue to Ogden Avenue Fremont Street from Las Vegas Boulevard to 6th Street (pedestrian access only; no thru traffic) *All road closures are subject to change. September 28 is National Public Lands Day. It is a Free Entrance Day for most National Parks, Monuments, Recreation Areas and other participating federal sites. Nevada residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Nevada Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 28 with a “fee-free” day at Nevada’s State Parks. Park fees, including entrance, camping (Saturday night) and boating, where applicable, will be waived at state parks throughout Nevada. Cost: $20 registration fee per child, per account; plus $7 per morning session and/or $10 per afternoon session.
