How Prepared Are You For Emergencies?

Download The Free Southern Nevada Community Preparedness app To Help You Stay Prepared

By Donna, mom, editor, publisher, travel agent June 8, 2021

With monsoon season approaching (and the dangerous thunderstorms that come with it), it is important to prepare for potential emergencies. One way to do that is to download the free Southern Nevada Community Preparedness app.

The app is available for download on Apple or Android devices. It provides an easy way for residents and tourists to directly receive emergency notifications, real-time weather alerts, and general preparedness information. The app also helps users to build an emergency plan, locate evacuation routes, identify nearby shelters, and share safety status with loved ones.

Every month, users also will receive timely and relevant tips on what to do before, during, and after an emergency. The Southern Nevada Community Preparedness app is administered by the city of Las Vegas Office of Emergency Management on behalf of Clark County and the cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, and Henderson. It is paid for by a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
