October 17-30, 2020; Dates, Times, and Locations Vary
Starting October 14 (Wednesday), the Election Department is NOT legally required to send you a sample ballot for the current election for your new online registration or with updated information for your existing registration. (NRS 293.565(7))
- Up to October 15 (Thursday), you may register to vote or update your existing registration ONLY on the Secretary of State's website to be eligible to vote a regular ballot in the current election.
- Between October 16 (Friday) and October 29 (Thursday), if you register to vote online or update your existing registration online, you may only vote a provisional ballot by appearing in-person at any early voting site or Election Day vote center. When you check-in to vote, you must show a current and valid (unexpired) NEVADA Driver’s License, NEVADA State Identification card, or NEVADA DMV "Interim Document", all of which must have an address that matches the one in the online registration. If the address does not match, you must additionally show other acceptable proof of residency. (Section 6 of AB345, 2019 Legislative Session, and NRS 293.565(7))

Early Voting (14 Days) and In-Person Same Day Registration at any Early Voting Site, Hours and Days Vary by Location: Any voter registered in Clark County may vote at any early voting site within the County. You may also register and vote (same-day registration) or immediately update your existing registration (including name, address, and party) at any early voting site. Same-day registrants must show a current and valid (unexpired) NEVADA Driver’s License, NEVADA State Identification card, or NEVADA DMV "Interim Document" with the current address where they actually live. If the address is not current, they must provide other proof of residency. (NRS 293.3568 and Sections 5.9 and 8 of AB345, 2019 Legislative Session). - October 29, 2020, Thursday
Last Day for Online Same-Day Registration and Updates: After this date, same-day registration and updates will only be available in-person at early voting sites and Election Day vote centers.
Due Date for FPCA Submittals by the Online System: Military and overseas residents must submit an FPCA sent by the Nevada Secretary of State's online system for the November 3, 2020 State/Federal General Election no later than October 29, 2020 (transmission date) to register to vote or update an existing registration, and to request a mail/absentee ballot. - The 2020 general election will be held on Tuesday, November 3. Pursuant to Assembly Bill 4 from the 32nd Special Session of the Nevada Legislature, all active registered voters in Nevada will be sent a blank ballot in the mail for the general election. This means voters do not need to request an absentee ballot for the general election if they want to vote by mail.
