Summer Reading Program: Earn Free Books and More at Las Vegas

Prevent "summer slide”—the learning loss which can occur over the summer months—into a “summer leap"

By Donna, mom, editor, publisher, travel agent June 21, 2018

School is out. But it doesn't mean reading and learning is out too. Turn "summer slide" to "summer leap."  The summer slide is a decline in reading and other academic skills that happens when school is on vacation. Research had shown that kids who don’t read during summer vacation actually slip in reading ability when school season is back. Vacation is fun and not an excuse not to read when school is out. Therefore, we should make reading fun too. Some programs may not be for kids only. But for everyone in the family. And you may get a prize and a freebie too.
