Join us for the 56th Annual Art in the Park in Boulder City, Nevada! This year's event will be held on October 5 and 6 from 9 am - 5 pm. Congratulations go to Brenda Peo, this year’s Featured Artist!
Brenda is a self-taught oil artist, born in Chicago, and grew up in the desert SW. Now living along the San Pedro River in Saint David, AZ area surrounded by wildlife.
For the past 25 years, she has had her own line of SW style jewelry using Copper, Red Brass and Sterling Silver. Successfully selling at art fairs throughout the SW states, it turned into a job and was not satisfying her creative spirit.
Brenda started painting in 2008, loving every minute. She especially likes painting animals, trying to capture their curious personalities and quirky traits. Some expressions are priceless with loads of personality. Luckily, there is never a shortage of volunteers. At first she tried to make every thing realistic, but it just wasn’t working. Brenda likes to call her style a bit of realism/impressionism with a big dash of humor.
