NASA Event: Send Your Name to Mars on #Mars2020 Rover

Humans cannot travel to Mars yet but your name can make it

By Donnah Opelac, publisher & editor July 1, 2019

Sign up to Send Your Name here. Enter your name and country (and in the US, your zip code) and submit to get your Boarding Pass. Email is not required. If you’d like to join the "Frequent Flyer Program" and receive a notification when the next mission is coming, you can add your email to the form. Submit your name by Sept. 30, 2019, 11:59 p.m. ET, and fly along!

What does submitting my name do?

All submitted names are reviewed, approved and then etched onto a microchip. The microchip is placed aboard the Mars 2020 rover, which will land on Mars.

Who sees my name and email address?

All names are reviewed by a team of people at NASA and then sent to the microchip manufacturer. Your email is only used to allow you to track your Frequent Flyer participation, and to receive a notification when the next "Send Your Name to Mars" event occurs. See our Privacy Policy Statement for more information.
