Lion King fans at Las Vegas are rejoicing. The award-winning best musical is back at the entertainment capital of the world. And the best part - they will be performing on Thanksgiving Weekend - kids are on school break, no worrying of the school day the following day. More time for traveling too- if you are traveling to Las Vegas to find your family fun.
My first experience with Lion King was in 2009 during their residency at Mandalay Bay. It was already enthralling as it is now. The music, costumes, dialogues are still fascinating.
- They have a new dialogue from the song "Let It Go" from the movie "Frozen" that was released in 2013.
- The stage is different- Mandalay Bay has wider stage since their seats are not tiered seats like the Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center. But the Reynolds Halls has more seating capacity because of their tiered seats.
- But still the same- the animals walking through right at the audience - and it was spectacular. So, if you will watch their show at The Smith Center, get orchestra seats so you can see the animals walk by your seats. The animals won't walk by at the tiered seats. I do remember the first time- I was on the binge to cry- because of so much joy of seeing those animals walk in front of me.
Nevertheless, it was totally worth it to watch. Even at the tiered seats of the Reynolds Hall. The elevation will give you the full view of the stage.
